I wanted to say a huge thank you for all the messages of support and concern over my last post about my mum. The care and love that is out there in the world is deeply moving ... (1/-)
...but I am also saddened by all the similar stories of loss, confusion, pain and frustration you shared with me too. COVID has robbed us all of something or someone and it's ok to just take a moment to survey the damage and grieve those losses. (2/-)
Don’t let anyone tell you to get over it, or there are people worse off. Yes there are but it doesn’t mean your pain should be overlooked or dismissed. The messages that flooded through the other day gave me such hope and faith in humanity and the hearts of people. (3/-)
All it takes is a kind word or for someone to just say “I hear you and I hear you are in pain.” That is sometimes enough. Just to be seen and heard. Love and listening are two of the greatest gifts you can give. (4/-)
I know they make me feel that I can cope when something shitty happens. There are so many inspirational people who have got wonderful positive messages out there and we are lucky it is so close hand and easy to access but also don’t forget to feel the pain too. (5/-)
If you don’t it will find a way out and usually it’s when you least want it to! The only way out.....is through. ❤️(6/6).
