Japanese coins, ranked:

#1: 500 yen

Obvious choice. Feels like something pirates would hoard, extremely valuable, always excited to find one in my wallet. Often shiny.
#2: 5 yen

I always try to keep one in my wallet because you never know when you might find a shrine
#3: 100 yen

Practical, always useful. Ideal for vending machines. Frequently shiny.
#4: 50 yen

Has a hole, so that's cool, but not as valuable as 100 yen or as shrine-worthy as a 5 yen. Mostly shiny though.
#5: 1 yen

You're trying! The runt of the litter which makes it endearing. The critical factor in deciding if I have exact change (I'm always one yen short). Strangely light, which is fun. Could move higher up the rankings with a strong performance.
#6: 10 yen

Whatever. Boring. Never shiny. Not fun. Clogs up my wallet. Brings no special ability to the table.
