Another @GreaterCambs Local Liaison Forum where the slides haven't been made available in advance, so we'll all be peering at the screen again ...
Also, no ability to see who else is on the call and the chat is only visible to the 'panellists'. Yet they say they want to make the session as interactive as possible!
Roadworks to create dedicated right hand turn from Babraham Rd into Granham's Rd will start 'spring' 2021 when the Robin Hood junction works are well advanced
Detail given of the Linton Greenway as it comes up Babraham/Hills Road to Addenbrooke's roundabout. Proposal to relocate the signalled crossing to the south side of Nightingale/Red Cross Lane. Wookey @camcycle asking v sensible questions about the arrangement they've come up with
As it currently stands they're proposing "subject to consultation" to shut the Hills Road end of Nightingale Ave. There is now a self-reinforcing logic between this proposal and the so-called "experimental" modal filter on Nightingale Ave. It's no wonder people are cynical
"V significant planned growth @CamBioCampus" between now and whenever the CSET busway is delivered. "Although the busway will take traffic off the road, the traffic volumes will remain considerable". No answer given to q about origin of traffic arriving at Addenbrooke's r'bout
Slowly working our way out towards Babraham P&R. Question from @walking_boston about whether once street furniture is accounted for, there will actually be adequate width for bikes and pedestrians (3m max)
Wort's Causeway crossing will have a cycle/ped phase built in, in contrast to now
Rachel Northfield from @CUH_NHS asking about signage to support people finding their way to @CamBioCampus

Hands up if you have heard of Cambridge&? I hadn't till this morning. If you are equally ignorant, I can recommend you head for p61 of June papers for @GreaterCambs Executive Board (neatly hidden in among Agenda Item 6 'GCP Quarterly Progress Report) bit.ly/3mMHOZw
Cambridge& appears to be the next generation of the @CambNetwork and @CambAhead family but with an expanded mission - to act as the "One Source of Truth" (yes, and with that capitalisation) to encourage new investment into Greater Cambridge
Why is this a good thing when the Cambridge employment market is *already* racing ahead of homes, leading to an overheated housing market, priced out local workers, congested roads, and an apparent appetite for building on every blade of grass in and around the city?
