Apparently, David Horowitz -- a shill and longtime friend of the execrable Tanton network -- is hostile to a free press and free speech. Ironic, considering he and his legal buddies used to trawl colleges looking for free speech lawsuits to file on behalf of right-wing students.
Background here, in this 1993 story. Horowitz represented himself as only being concerned about #1A, but his actions toward Jean here put the lie to that.

And don’t get me started on the deaths in the desert because of it. I have found baby shoes, empty wallets, human bones. It is a grey zone, a liminal zone where atrocities are couched as “security” and dehumanization and cruelty reigns. There is a mass grave in Holtville, Calif.
for the unidentified remains of the desperate people who are fleeing atrocities in their home countries. As far as I know there has been no effort to identify them. There’s a place in Arizona that identifies remains and notifies their families, though: @colibricenter
