1/We joined to witness the Holy Mass and interment of the Catholic Priest in charge of Imo State Government House Chapel, Owerri, Rev. Msgr. Raphael Okechukwu Madu at the premises of the Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri. 
2/Monsignor Madu died on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 65 after a brief illness.
3/He was not just a good man but a great man with cerebral life in Christ and in the service of humanity.
4/He left a lot of accomplishments that challenges we the living to see his lifestyle as a pointer to what we are supposed to emulate so that when we leave this world, we will not only be mourned but the living will celebrate our achievements.
5/Monsignor Madu’s passing was shocking, sudden and sorrowful, but no nobody can question the will of God who is the author and finisher of all human lives.
6/He was a gold fish that had no hiding place and never ceased to achieve, accomplish and leave a legacy in every position he found himself.
7/Within the short period Msgr. Madu worked as the Government House Chaplain, he impacted the lives of many people who came in contact with him both spiritually and physically.
8/The very short period he was the Chaplain, he made a lot of impact on both the Chaplaincy and the Government House Population. He was an achiever, goal-getter, friendly and accessible as well as a bridge builder who did a lot to expand the word of God.
9/May God bless his soul and the grant him eternal rest.
