4. @particular6 was the best student in the whole school and he was very oratory. Nobody beats @particular6 in debate. He started interclass debate as early as primary 3 or 4. I remember the famous debate: 'Military rule is better than civilian rule' that his class won
effortlessly, courtesy of his vocal dexterity.
Now you can see why he is always at the front line of everything in FUTA. It has been in him.
5. He went to FUTA, studied Chemistry and became the god of Chemistry; I went to LAUTECH to study electrical engineering.
6. We reconnected again in 2014, and he 2016, he told me he was already in @KFUPM for Msc. He was the one the encouraged me to apply for @KFUPM scholarship that shaped my research and academic life.
7. @particular6 single-handedly gave me all his documents: CV, statement of purpose, etc, that I modified for job and scholarship in 2015.
8. When I started this scholarship thing, it was his slide I developed to first teach people during a zoom session, with his permission.
9. @particular6 is currently on his PhD in USA, and I am currently on my PhD in Canada.
The question today is: Who is your friend?
Do you have the same goals?
I have always heard that there are unsung heroes. @particular6 is one of them
The pathways to Msc and Ph.D. fully funded scholarships in Germany are:
a. DAAD Program: This is the largest scholarship body in Germany, and it has many scholarships embedded within it. If you want Germany, the DAAD website should be opened on your computer tab.
As promised, let's start the year by discussing Germany.
Tag your friends, take fruit juice and unwind this thread🧵:
In Part A, I will discuss what you need to know about Admission and Scholarship in Germany, In Part B, I will show you how to practically apply and get funding.
Read the following general facts about Germany:
1. About 80-90% of the Universities are tuition-free.
However, in some states, you may be asked to pay about 1000-3000 Euros/semester, which covers student union fees and travel tickets around the state for a semester.
2. Most Msc students don't search for scholarships. Instead, they look for a block account of about 10, 000
For those of you who think that we are lucky, let me show you all the schools I have either applied to or sent an email to in different countries as promised in this tweet:
, especially people in Engineering. Tell them to consider the research area mentioned in the tweet above. It's an untapped area in Electrical Engineering.
Others can also check these schools as they are not limited to only Engineering.
Today, I will start with the USA.
1. Syracuse University 2. Southern Methodist University 3. Baylor School of Engineering and Computer Science 4. University of Alabama 5. North Dakota State University 6. University of Central Florida 7. California Polytechnic State University 8. Villanova University
