As someone with an age 75+ parent and a grandparent who doesn't quiet understand the internet, I'm sure I can't be the only one concerned about how difficult it is for many folks (who need the vaccine most) to get information on the vaccine. 😔
Spent my morning looking into this for my dad (woke up in a panic realizing this is something he doesn't know how to do, let alone do a Google search for). Got me started thinking about other folks like him who don't have family/folks looking out for them 😕
Early in shelter in place, we received a postcard from The White House that had "COVID Guidelines". I feel like we need to be thinking about the demographics of folks who don't have email/internet/etc.
How do we make sure the people who need this info most get it? 😓
My dad is 77 years old, and can barely figure out Microsoft Word, let alone how to fill out a @SurveyMonkey form for his county on how/when/if he's eligible. 😣
I'm so disheartened by the lack of accessibility here for something so crucial. Am I surprised? No. Disappointed? Yes.
Anyway, reach out to your older friends and family members who may need assistance with this. 😓❤️ This shit is not easy for some folks.
It drives me crazy that folks assume basic internet skills (or even internet ACCESS) for crucial things like this. 😡 Your version of "it's simple, really!" with an online form is like asking my dad to do Tough Mudder. We have to do better, y'all.
Anyway, if you need a litmus test for internet literacy for coronavirus information accessibility for seniors, consider Dude (my dad) @POTUS@VP@WhiteHouse@DeptVetAffairs@CDCgov. We need to get this information out better- it could literally save lives. 💉👵👴

Early in my career, I was given the feedback "just be careful there aren't too many women at your meetup- we don't want it to be too homogeneous", and I think about the absurdity of that statement every fucking day.
Soon after, they had the audacity to ask me for a "positive referral" for their next position.
Being a woman in tech is exhausting.
Best part? The data said otherwise.
There were way more men than women attending these events- there were just more women than usual... ya know, the whole thing companies have been trying to solve for YEARS, I had accomplished on my own, and was scolded for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll have other ways to contact me- don't worry. But I just can't continue to keep this channel of communication open while @TwitterSafety does nothing to protect me/my sanity 🙃🗑️🚮🔥 Fleets have made it even worse.
I should clarify- they're not *all* trash. There's just an overwhelming amount of them, and 1 me 😣
Will likely be setting some tools/a specific inbox soon to help manage getting in contact with me. I promise I'm not ignoring anyone- it's just *a lot* of noise.
