Now that the botnets are in remission and King Troll has been silenced, Twitter feels a lot safer.
Even if it’s an illusion, I’ll take the reprieve.
The trolls were crafty in their approach on my Navalny thread, but the toxicity levels overall have been way dialed down.
Twitter used to be a very toxic space for independent female journalists.
I always appreciated @davidfrum for bearing witness to the pain women journalists were receiving.
Imagine if the vocabulary of misogyny were relegated to the dustbin of history, to that time the GOP had its last win-ugly.
We’ve come a very long way.
I know President @JoeBiden wouldn’t direct unkind words toward women. He’s got too much class.

We thwarted an authoritarian in the middle of consolidating power. We did it by exercising our rights as American citizens: we voted. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor the installation of hack at the USPS, nor a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic could stop us.
2/ Enough of us had the sense to rebuke disinformation and vote for the good guy and gal.
