New restrictions around international travel go into effect today.

Here's what you need to know (a thread):
All travelers flying INTO the U.S. - even those who have been vaccinated - must get a COVID test before traveling.

Tests can be PCR or Rapid, but at-home tests are not accepted. (2/7)
This includes customers with a connecting flight in the U.S., even if your final destination is elsewhere. (3/7)
If you're gone for less than three days, you do not need to get a new test. The test you took before departing the U.S. will be accepted. (4/7)
Alternatively, if you have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 90 days, you can provide documentation of recovery from your physician. (5/7)
If you need assistance finding a test, we're here to help. dl.aero/6019ptJsl (6/7)
In addition to the testing requirements listed above, new restrictions have been announced for travelers from certain destinations. Find info for everywhere we fly here: dl.aero/6012ptJso (7/7)

How Flight Attendant Jackie (AKA Grandma Jackie) saved the day.

Warning: this thread may cause happy tears.
Two years ago, Delta customers Karee and Rodney were flying home from China with their newly adopted daughter, Bella. They didn’t speak Mandarin. Bella didn’t speak English, but Flight Attendant Jackie spoke both. (2/7)
While the family had been together for two weeks, a flight around the world was a big change! Bella became super upset on the flight home, and Karee and Rodney were unsure of how to comfort their daughter - but Grandma J knew just what to do. (3/7)

Our number one priority is always the safety of our customers and employees. Here are some ways we're supporting healthy flying. A thread.
To minimize the spread of viruses, we're expanding disinfecting and sanitizing procedures and adding a fogging process in our airports and on our aircraft.
Hand sanitizers are readily available at ticket counters, boarding gates, Need Help Centers, Baggage Service Offices and Delta Sky Clubs. You can also find hand cleanser or cleansing towelettes in the amenity kits on all long-haul flights.
