Help needed ...

Here is our latest #COVID19 research in progress. There were less cases with disease A (top) during the #COVID19Pandemic (green) compared with 2016 - 2019 (red). Corresponding #COVID19 cases in Germany are also shown (bottom).

At the same time, the proportion of disease B increased substantially in the disease A cohort.

To make things more complex, test X was used more often in the disease A cohort.

Why do we see the increase in disease B? #COVID19- related, more use of test X, changes in disease A...?

We @leipzig_heart are thinking of using mixed models.

Any statistical advice is highly appreciated.
