(Thread) Fact checkers flagged my Instagram post about Biden’s first 5 days in office as false. Here is their actual response to my quotes. What a joke
"Energy prices rose" This is misleading and lacks context. Some energy prices went up slightly in the last week, some did not
“Some of the highest COVID death rates" COVID-19 death rates are undeniably high in the U.S., but there is no evidence that Biden, who hasn’t yet been in the job for a full week, has had enough time in office to impact those metrics.
"ISIS has miraculously appeared again"
This is wrong. ISIS, the Islamic militant group that seized control of territory in Syria and Iraq starting in 2014, has largely fizzled out over the last few years but it was never completely defeated.
"Drug prices were raised for the most vulnerable" This is complicated
"Thousands of union jobs killed"
PolitiFact has rated other variations of this claim Half True...Biden signed an executive order revoking the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline...the pipeline developer, said it will lay off "thousands" of union workers because of the order
"We are back to sending military convoys to the Middle East"
There is no credible evidence that Biden sent military convoys to the Middle East,
(They then said that I did have a source, couldn’t say my source was wrong, just that the way it was worded was to stoke fear)
Haha
They are literally running cover for Biden who’s administration is already a disaster - absolute nonsense
All this fact checking has become pro-leftist groups using confusing language to discredit opposition with stupid labels
“Missing context”
“Partly false”
Lol
The “fact” checker was politifact which my Apple phone says isn’t even a real word
I should fact check their name as “partly false”
“While the term politifact is their company name, it’s not a real word in English spell check algorithms, therefore more evidence is needed “
