Different venue today, overlooking a somewhat larger construction project in process. Will also get around to eventually posting the time lapse I’ve been making here.
It’s interesting (to me, anyway) when LEGO uses a piece like this, with technic holes in it, when a regular piece works just as well.
Note that the technic holes end up completely buried.
I am guessing this is done to reduce the number of *different* pieces on a kit (assuming this style of 1x2 w/technic is also needed elsewhere). Sometimes I swap out interesting parts like this to enhance my random parts stash.
Interim progress
Bag set 6 done. No spares/extras. Lunchtime.
Done with lunch. Should I be preparing for my 3pm meeting? Probably. Instead... bag 7.
