What is a #salesfunnel?

A sales funnel is basically the journey you take your prospects (who are your ideal/target audience) through in order to provide value to them and making them become paying customers in the process. /1
A #salesfunnel is a step-by-step process that allows you to bring your potential customer one step closer to your offer and a buying decision through a series of marketing actions like automated emails, videos, articles and landing pages that will do the selling for you. /2
A #salesfunnel is thus an essential part of growing your business in this dispensation.

It's simply because customers have more access to information unlike what obtained in the past and thus have the ability to decide who to patronize or not. /3
A #salesfunnel helps you to build a valuable relationship with your target audience and makes it easier for you to sell to them.

With a #salesfunnel, your business has higher chances of converting skeptics to becoming raving fans of your products and/or services. /4
A #salesfunnel most times begins with a freebie (lead magnet) given out to obtain your ideal audience's email and name contact.

The freebie (lead magnet) has to be very valuable to your ideal audience. If it is not, it is a total waste of time and resouces. /5
Your lead magnet has to solve a PARTICULAR PROBLEM for your target audience.

Examples of lead magnets include:
- Short Reports
- White Papers
- Mini Courses
- Guides
- Worksheets
- Etc.

Your lead magnet should be concise, straight to the point and not too voluminous. /6
In order to deliver your lead magnet and capture the emails of your target audience, you need an email service provider (ESP) such as getresponse.com, aweber.com, activecampaign.com, mailerlite.com, etc. /7
Most of these ESPs have landing pages templates you can make use of or you can build one from scratch on their platform.

Alternatively, you can build a landing page (opt-in page) using landing page builders such as Thrive Architect and integrate your ESP. /8
After you have setup the landing/opt-in page, you need to have your follow-up email that will deliver the lead magnet to them.

Now, you can have a single opt-in or double opt-in. For single opt-in, your prospect gets your lead magnet immediately after the subscribe. /9
And for double opt-in, your prospect has to confirm their email before they receive the lead magnet.

Using a double opt-in strategy most times helps improve the quality of your email list. /10

THE IMPORTANCE ACQUIRING SKILLS IN THIS NEW AGE

Some years ago, I was introduced to Website Design by one of my friends who worked in a cyber cafe - that was around 2004/2005.

He gave me one of his resources which was about HTML. I photocopied it and started learning how...
...to write codes. As at then, I didn't have a computer at home. What I did was to read and then bring out my notebook and write out the codes the way I wanted.

Whenever I had money, I would go to the cybercafe, buy time and then open notepad and start typing in the codes...
