Social Media Lesson: When a hard-to-secure username suddenly becomes available...grab it (and wait.)

We used to have the username @KPL_Comms, but you'd probably do a happy dance like we did if you found out that @KPLC became available.

I mean, how clean is @KPLC, right? ...

But then, you'd probably learn, as we did, that when the notifications started to pour in...there's probably a reason why...

We are based in Texas - Dallas to be exact. So imagine our surprise when we started to receive a stream of angry tweets and notifications from #Kenya...

So, it would seem, based on the volume of notifications we've received after securing @KPLC... that we have often been confused with the Kenya Power & Light Company, a company that has apparently had a lot of trouble offering power (or light) to their clients...

So, Kenyan friends, while we're sorry we cannot help you with your light issues, we can offer social media training or digital marketing consulting remotely via zoom.
