Do you know that there are more university graduates and professors in Northern Nigeria than the whole of South Africa?

That ordinary people in Maiduguri can speak better English than ordinary people in Aba? (Not condescension on Aba but illustrative).

A Thread...
The issue in the North is not lack of education but unemployment, underemployment or Mis employment.

Some can be due to culture of conservatism, entitlement to bigger things mentality by not starting small or waiting for white elephant government jobs.
This is true based on my personal experience as an employer of labor. Most of the people (not all) I employed from the north are either too big to accept lack of experience salary, too busy to pay attention, be patient and learn on the job, too dependent on I-know-someone who....
can keep me here rather than their individual competency or too aggressive to compete with the employer and grab their share from the investments and move away instead of focusing on growing the business so we all grow along.
More than anything else, this pose the greatest threat to the employability of the people of the north than the academic background. Employers hire attitude these days not your degrees on PhDs.

Thus we in the north must work hard to change that culture and fight it away.
For example:

Out of the 44 million people employed in Nigeria, only 4 million of such are employed at all government level, from federal, state and local Govt, including uniform men, the remaining 40 million are coming from the private sector where it is dominated by the south.
You may have many people from the north working in the federal civil service due to quota but all contracts, jobs, service work orders goes to those private companies which are predominantly of the south. This in return create more employment opportunities for the south.
Looking at this arrangement, you’ll see clearly that lack of involvement of the north in private real businesses is dangerously affecting the employment of people in the north. Meanwhile most industries are in the south and most consumers are from the north.
With no jobs, no industries, no private sector, cultural restrictions, no good public image due to bad media, the present arrangements in the country might not guarantee the much needed development of the soft infrastructure the north badly requires.
Government is an event but the people are always around, we must have to rethink how the north can build private institutions that can keep the youth engaged without the need for government jobs.

The north need to re-industrialize like the south have done, so jobs can be created

Looking at everything, it’s not all together a bad thing for the North to secede from Nigeria.

The North is the only region in Nigeria that practically have everything, yet its people suffer the most, with hope dashed, underproductive young @ & betrayal of the elites.

A Thread.
The North is the single largest supplier of raw materials in all Nigerian industries, from food through agriculture and cloths to shelter through cements and other building materials available in the Northern rocks, including iron ores and ceramics.
The North have Gold, Diamond, Tin, copper, gypsum, coal, magnesium, etc and even uranium all over the area.

A liter of groundnut/cotton oil is more expensive than a liter of oil, and it has long industrial chain value , from pharmaceuticals, detergents etc.

I’m a Fulani man, but I can tell you that it doesn’t make sense for cows to be roaming the streets in 2021.

Cows should be ranched on a land acquired or rented by the ranchers.

By law, land can only be used through rent or purchase.

Govt should step forward & clear this out.
I believe, to reconcile the raging herders crisis is to open proper communication where each knows the laws of the land.

All lands in Nigeria, including forests belongs to some entity, FG, SGs, LGs, Company’s or individuals.

Thus no land can be used without proper authorization
The problem of the Fulani herders is a betrayal from the city Fulanis, who decided, after moving to cities, acquiring wealth & power, but forget to carry the village brothers along, leaving them in a desperate situation.

The rich Fulanis must come together & get ranching lands.

When I spoke against the insecurity situation affecting the country & called out the President, some people tried to compare it with #endSARs, not true!

#endSARs is now an official failed Biafra movement supported by gullible ones. We know it.

The original #endSARs is gone.
Take this from me. #endSARs is hijacked by the haters of Nigeria, with a principal mission to hate everything everyone except a movement to destroy Nigeria & create an unimaginably failed audio/internet country, by people who never knew where their village is

Don’t fall for it!
These guys, less than one percent of the Igbo population are doing everything to showcase the whole Igbo as supportive of their mission, so loud that you’ll seem to believe them.

It’s a scam!

The 99% real Igbo is good and Pan Nigerians.

They’ve spoiled our #endSARs with hate.

Kidnapping in Katsina, Kidnapping in Zamfara, Kidnapping in Jada. Kidnappings all over. The strange thing is, nothing is done.

Kidnapped victim’s families are burdened with the responsibility for ransoms.

If the government cannot secure us, they should ba paying for the ransom.
Govt budgets billions every year for security of the citizens. With this obvious failure. The budgeted amounts should be diverted for freeing up the kidnapped victims.

These kinds of failures are unprecedented in the history of Nigeria

How can bandits/kidnappers operate freely?
These guys employs same methods, targeting, in most cases same areas, and yet this is allowed to be repeatable all the time.

Do our leaders really care about this issue?

Busy organizing expensive wedding parties, yet vulnerable victims are left at the mercy of non-state actors.

Our lawyers got the notice for the hearing pretty late, so we had to request for adjournment to the case which the court graciously granted. Thus the 21st April 2021 date was set.

However, we may approach the court to request for an earlier date.

Stay tuned. We will win this.
We will pursue this case to the end. No going back.

We will not allow any violation and/or interference in our local political affairs by any foreign actor.

This case will serve as a deterrent to anyone who grossly abuse his privilege against our country.

Jack must pay.
We trust in the court ability to deliver the right justice, against violation of our sovereignty, subversion of our peace and collective well-being of Nigeria's security.

We therefore, look forward to having Twitter office in Nigeria and $1bn for the victims of #EndSARS protest.

If we continue to treat the security situation in the north with a reactive (response) approach as opposed to compound, comprehensive with proactive strategy on the fabrics of what constitutes a northern society today, no one will be spared of the consequences of our inactions.
It is gradually becoming obvious that most of our leaders have havens in Abuja & are so reliant on state security protections that some believe fist & shear political power can do the magic, meanwhile what is required is policy & consultive dialogue with the real people affected.
Kaduna or particularly Zaria is the center of northern Nigeria, a strategic location with all military modeling facilities. We should take any attack on this zone as the red of the red flags and do everything possible to nib it in the bud, but force alone cannot fix this through.
