White, suburban women - mostly mothers - are main drivers of QAnon, the far-right conspiracy movement which the FBI labelled a terrorist threat in 2019. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are its first supporters elected to Congress feministgiant.com/p/white-women-…

And QAnon female supporters were among the insurrectionists, including the only two women to be killed on January 6 - one a vet shot as she tried to break into Speakers Lobby and another crushed in a stampede. Iwrite about them here

The audacity of white womanhood obscures & obfuscates violence that white women are allowed to get away with. In pre-election video, MTG is seen endorsing political violence. “The only way you get your freedoms back is it’s earned with the price of blood”

I will be looking further into the ways that fascism and white supremacy are being feminized and made palatable via these increasingly vocal and visible white, blonde women.

If they were not white or certainly if they were Muslim, these women would be called fanatics, thus is privilege of whiteness. White womanhood is privilege sweetened with an innocence & fragility that white women--liberal/conservative, Trump-voting/not--are adept at weaponizing.
