Coun Pfenning expresses her appreciation to Township staff for their hard work preparing this budget, especially in a challenging year.
Coun Gerber extends council's appreciation to all of the Township's staff. "It's quite an achievement."
Recommendation: That the 2021 Operating Budget, as prepared by the Director of Corporate Services / Treasurer and Manager of Finance / Deputy Treasurer, be endorsed in principle.
Carried, by all councillors.
Next, Mr Kelly is discussing the 2021 Municipal Budget Package report (page 21 of the agenda package). He thanks senior management, staff and the committee for making this balanced budget possible.
In response to Coun Hallman's question, Dawn Mittelholtz (Director of Clerk's Services/Director of Information and Legislative Services) confirms that the new electronic "Stop" signs have been distributed to crossing guards, and have been well received.
Mr Kelly replies to Coun Gordijk's question about the drains cost-sharing agreement with the Township of Woolwich.
Recommendation: That the 2021 Municipal Budget, as prepared by the Director of Corporate Service / Treasurer be endorsed and recommended to Council on February 8, 2021.
