We want to point out three particularly egregious errors:/2
First, the author attacks measures to protect safety & fairness in women’s sport as “targeting young queer people,” and suggests they aren’t based on science. They are. E.g. World Rugby cites dozens of scientific articles to underpin its ruling to keep women’s rugby safe./3
The author states that sex is not binary. This bizarre idea, disproven by the mere fact that every human being was born from a female, is demolished e.g. in “The Dangerous Denial of Sex” by Wright and Hilton./4

The author says “needed care”(=medication) before age 15 greatly lowers the risk of attempted suicide. The claim that puberty blockers are essential to stop young people from attempting suicide is false & dangerous. It has been disproven multiple times./5

The author smears those who disagree with the position presented here as conservative bigots. Not so. We are Lesbians, gay men, and bisexuals who care about science, truth, and justice. We support everyone’s rights: and that includes the rights of LGB people, women, & children.
