Since the report was issued we found another 99 empty properties that the council sold off in the last 10 years

The sale raised over £150M, yet in the same period the council built just 9 new houses.

This is part of a deliberate policy started in 1999: heygatewashome.org/img/EstatesGaz…

The Peoples Plan was designed by an architect and costed by a surveyor.
It was submitted to #Lambeth on Friday. Lambeth rejected the next Monday.
When questioned by an independent surveyor Lambeth admitted they had inflated costs for refurbishment by 70% to justify demolition

The policy of selling off property has raised hundreds of millions for the council and continues to this day.
