BREAKING: DivestSPD has tentatively identified two officers currently under investigation for participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots

Alexander Lawrence Everett #8565, Southwest Precinct
Caitlin Ann Rochelle #8566, South Precinct

(Receipts attached)
SPD announced on Jan. 8 that two officers had been placed on leave. Through a public records request, DivestSPD acquired the daily rosters for January, and found 3 officers had been placed on leave in the period immediately following the Capitol riots.
Previous reporting had identified the SPD officers as a married couple. A search of KC marriage records shows that Everett and Rochelle were married in 2020.

Last night, we had our first meeting over Zoom w/ the @SeattleFdn together with reps from our coalition partners @KCEquityNow, @DecrimSeattle and @NikkitaOliver.

We met with @SeattleFdn's CEO @tgmestres, Equity Advisor Alice Ito, Board Member and UW Dean of Undergrad Academic Affairs Ed Taylor, and several other employees of the foundation to present our demands, which are listed below:

1.) Divestment and reparation - Halt grants to the Seattle Police Foundation and invest $1.5m (2x the total amount granted to SPF) in repairing the harm caused by SPD, with a specific emphasis on funding community-led policing alternatives.
