"... as well as Friday’s deportation of a witness in the El Paso massacre. An additional flight scheduled for Tues. was intended to remove families who have been detained at the family detention center in Texas. Fortunately, advocates convinced DHS to stop these deportations."

“For months under the previous admin we heard reports of abuse, physical coercion, and discriminatory treatment of Cameroonian and other African asylum seekers at the hands of ICE, and we still await the details of a DHS investigation."
"Worse yet, ICE is accelerating pending flights for many of these asylum seekers ... who escaped torture and death in their home countries, only to be sent back into imminent danger without fair or complete consideration of their asylum requests."

Javier was formerly protected by #DACA but didn’t renew out of fear of sharing his info. @ICEgov is now trying to deport him.

Javier must be released—and we must permanently protect all 11 million undocumented immigrants now.

“Javier Castillo Maradiaga’s deportation to Honduras planned for early Monday morning was stopped by President Joe Biden’s 100-day moratorium on most removals, but that decision was overturned by a Texas judge and ICE took action.”
“Maradiaga was on track to be deported Friday morning instead, but it has been temporarily delayed. In the meantime, he remains in ICE custody.

Maradiaga has been living in the United States since he was just 7 years old.”
