The Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr.@OlalereOdusote, who disclosed this at a stakeholders’ virtual Roundtable with ICT industry stakeholders on Thursday, highlighted the intentions of the State Government to achieve significant reduction in carbon emissions.
The Commissioner emphasised the importance of the sector in achieving the State’s ambitions of becoming a Smart City as evidenced by the ongoing deployment of 3000km of fiber optic cables across the State. #LASG#ForAGreaterLagos
He averred that Lagos has the highest density of ICT infrastructure in Nigeria, and the sector accounts for about 410,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum in the State. #LASG#ForAGreaterLagos
