1. Only selected people passed writing+practice exams can get qualified to go inside P3, and be trained by senior tutors. Our background info is checked by police for security control.

2. Negative-pressure system in P3/P4 to avoid pathogens leakage. Air flow is ventilated out via special filters.

3. How to get in P3 working area?
- One by one go through M/F changing room. Remove all your clothes and wear lab clothes (bring clean ones from outside, but left inside). Go through the 2 negative-pressure-door shower room👇🏻
Note, take time to open/close such door, one by one!

4. Plus, if get in P4 lab, more layer of PPE is necessary. To wear it properly won’t be quick and easy, but cautious with experience.

5. There are many big fridges to stock tens of thousands or more pathogen samples in working area of P3/P4 lab, as well as equipments with raw data.
For real investigation, just check catalogs of virus storage in P4 will take quite a long time.

6. Neg-pressure doors of hallways/labs in P3/P4 take extra time to go across inside.
Also, lab-waste system is isolated with special design. e.g., all lab animals are culled and packed to get out after autoclave sterilization.
So selling lab animals from P3/P4 is impossible.

7. For human, the ONLY creatures to leave P3/P4 ALIVE, after removing all clothes, a shower is compulsory.
In HKU P3, outside door is locked until you take shower for ≥ 3 min.
