Thread 🧵...
She said; “Growing up in Nigeria, every time she complained of menstrual pain, she gets prescribed medications without further investigation.

Whereas all along what she had was Endometriosis which she recently discovered.
ENDOMETRIOSIS is a long term painful condition where tissues similar to the lining of the womb (Endometrium) starts to grow in other structures around the womb like the ovaries and the Fallopian tubes( looks like hands of the womb). Affects women of childbearing age.
The Endometrium is the lining of the Uterus(womb) that becomes thickened in preparation for pregnancy every month and peels off as menstrual flow if no pregnancy occurs. So when it is found on other structures like the ovary, it triggers this same pain.

Prevention;

• avoid excessive consumption of caffeinated beverages
• Regular exercise
• Early detection/diagnosis =early treatment

If you have attempted IELTS more than 2x you should consider taking OET! The reason why we have a lot of INDIANS and PHILIPPINE nurses here in the UK is because most of them take OET instead of IELTS.

Stop letting IELTS stand between you and your UK goal.

Pls RT!
An Indian can’t even speak half as good as an average Nigerian English speaker. Not talk of write / compose a complex sentence!

If you’re interested in taking OET, send me a dm. Stop dashing Idp and BC money! Money is not easy to come by!

Stop allowing makeup artists apply makeup & makeup spray over your breast! All in the name of making you glow! Glow spray, makeup moisturizers and other makeup products contain two chemicals that can cause *Breast Cancer*!!!

Please RT for awareness!
Parabens are commonly used as preservatives in many cosmetic products & shaving creams. They can penetrate the skin and act like a very weak estrogen in the body hereby causing growth of hormone-receptor-positive breast cancers.
Phthalates are makeup preservatives that can disrupt the normal balance of other hormones that interact with estrogen. A disruption in hormonal levels can trigger cancer growth.

Always check your makeup products contents to be sure they are safe for your skin.

6 things you should never put on your breast!

1, Bleaching Cream
2, soaps that have alcohol in them
3, Cheap silicon glue
4, Cheap Silicon bra
5, Double sided tape
6, Hair removal cream/waxing cream.

Kindly Retweet for awareness!
But I have hairs all over my nipple so how do I take them out without waxing cream?

Having hair on your nipple is normal and that’s fine, but if you’re concerned about it then the best way to get rid of them is simply plucking them out. Waxing cream causes nipple infection.
Why shouldn’t we use moisturizers on the breast?

skin of the breast is very sensitive and easily irritated by moisture. Exposing it to some chemical components of the moisturizer as also been proven to cause “Breast Cancer” due to disruption of the normal female hormone levels.

I remember being invited for an interview in Victoria island, the advert stated “A very irresistible offer”

I was hyper excited! Wore my favorite fit. The reception was exceptional! I said to myself “Mojirade oti arrive”
I got there so early, about extra 1hr b4 the time because Lagos traffic, to avoid shalaye...

After waiting for about 30mins at the reception, a young man in his mid 30’s I presume, approached me and told me to come with him.

So I was taken to a quiet room and offered a seat.
5mins later the interview started,,,

A *Doctor later came in to interview me* the man earlier was the *HR*
So I a Theatre Nurse, was being interviewed by a Doctor & HR. They both confirmed I seem really experienced...

Anyway, time to discuss the *irresistible offer*

Fellow UKRNs, your NMC code/ principles should be ringing in your memory at all times like our Lord’s Prayer. That Code can make/mar you! Remember if you get into trouble and your PIN gets taken, everyone dependent on your Visa is going. And we all know how unpleasant that is...
It’s quite fortunate that patient’s know their *Rights*here, so you should know yours too! Know your job description and know your limitations!

All the Times you’ve been awarded *Outstanding performance* won’t matter when legal petition is raised against you!
There’s a limit to how far even your professional indemnity/insurance can go for you when NMC is involved and patient’s safety and confidentiality is threatened!

That is why you should always Guard your PIN! Do what you can and escalate the ones you can’t!

Cheers🥂
