ahhh i am fangirling right now!!! finally found the Wuxia 60 documentary (it was at the library) That pic is a manuscript from Qin Hong (one of the only wuxia authors I'm fortunate to have met)
i didn't even know the documentary had been released. the film company never mentioned its release on their FB page :/
turns out it was released in 2017!! ugh why did i never check the library??? well a new public library opened up here (and it is massive). so that's why i was checking out the library recently, searching the new site. and this documentary is 2hr long!!
heh notice here, he has his own personalized manuscript paper (says Qin Hong in red there)

Yi Rong is in this too!!! woah. he wrote a few novels of his own and also ghostwrote portions of two of Wolong Sheng's famous novels (Heavenly Whirlwind and Delicate Hand Incident)
So many actual wuxia authors interviewed, and family members as well. It's not just scholars talking abou them (though it has them too). This doc is all about Taiwan #wuxia. Taiwan was the center of wuxia in the 60s-70s...
Though Jin Yong & Liang Yusheng are the most popular/famous/best, & they were in Hong Kong, but most wuxia authors of the period came out of Taiwan (after escaping there from the mainland after the war). The HK #wuxia magazines mostly used Taiwan writers' stories.
If you're researching #wuxia, you must pay attention to Taiwan. Otherwise you've barely scratched the surface.
