THE DISCIPLE OF DISCIPLINE: @jockowillink

He spent 20 years as a Navy SEAL.

He wrote multiple NYT bestsellers.

5 of his FRAMEWORKS for life🧵👇
FRAMEWORK 1: Accountability is a CRUTCH

"I don't INSPECT things, I EXPECT things."
@jockowillink

People shouldn't do their job JUST because you hold them accountable.

Great teams know the WHY and OWN IT.

Align teams so individuals inspire themselves.
FRAMEWORK 2: "There are truly no bad teams, only bad leaders."

Teams fail because leaders fail.

Leaders do these 5 things:

1) Set + ACHIEVE Goals

2) Solve Problems + Make Decisions

3) FOCUS on the MOST Important THING

4) Inspire others to Believe

5) Get RESULTS
FRAMEWORK 3: KILL EGO

Humility is the foundation of great teams.

But high achieving teams can have BIG EGOs.

How do you solve this?
• Don't CONFRONT THEM

The TEAM needs to realize on their own
• Ask non-judgmental questions
• Pull on these threads until ego is exposed
FRAMEWORK 4: Daily FOCUS

"Embed a long-term goal into your mind."

"Burn it into your soul."

"Think about it."

"Write about it."

"Talk about it"

But most importantly...

Do something about it every day.

Do something that keeps that goal alive and in sight and in focus.
FRAMEWORK 5: Discipline = FREEDOM

You'll never be free without discipline.

Wake up early.

Work out everyday.

Eat the right way.

Discipline your emotions to make good decisions.

Control your ego so it doesn't control you.

Discipline is facing your fears to conquer them.

Facebook with only 1 user is worthless.

However, as more people join, the platform becomes exponentially more useful.
