I have a lot of Foreign Policy stuff I have to focus on for the next few days & I can't dedicate anymore time to responding to individual questions about trans rights and gender anymore. It's been 48 hours and I've only managed to eat one meal because of the relentlessness of it.
I have tried to kindly discuss things with people who respectfully want to debate the issue with me, and I have shown zero tolerance to those who want to spout hatred instead. But I have to move on to other things now else I will end up with no commissions completed for the month
I hope the experience of the last few days has shown people that you can't simply instigate a pile-on to someone with abuse in the hope that they change their opinions on sincerely held beliefs, and that you can't force people to apologise for things they don't feel sorry for.
Thank you for the kind words of support i've received, and thank you to the good faith discussions I've had with people who disagree with me. I hope there was value in our exchanges. The people who decided to send me abusive insults aren't going to be given a second chance though
But for now, I have to crack on with several day's worth of research that I haven't been able to do because of the absolute hell on this website. Enjoy your Friday folks, and please stop @-ing me because I'm too busy to see any of it for the next few days. DM if you need me.

I really am trying to be as respectful as possible, but I don't care if you've followed my career for 12 years, if you turn up in my mentions spouting anti-trans bigotry I'm going to block you forever without even feeling the slightest tinge of remorse. I hope this is clear.
If people want to follow me who disagree with me, the more the merrier. If people want to discuss my political views in an open and respectful manner, great! If people want to start slandering me as a misogynist, homophobe or attack trans people, I will block you immediately.
This is cleaning house time for me. This isn't the first time I've had to do it, I blocked all former friends or left wing allies that made excuses for antisemitism too.

Good morning folks. I just want to say that this individual @TheSinanKose was part of a sustained, aggressive & racist campaign to slander me as a terrorist and al-Qaeda supporter for 4 years. He cheered on the Islamophobic hatred I suffered at the hands of his Corbyn supporters. Image
Even here he can barely muster any condemnation of the virulent Islamophobic abuse I'm subjected to, and turn it around to blame me - the victim - for not being more supportive of Corbynite trolls like himself who were happy to paint me as a religious fundamentalist to smear me.
This is one of Sinan's friends, a middle class white man working in corporate law, using an anonymous account to libel me as a supporter of al-Qaeda, a group that has kidnapped and executed close friends of mine, friends I miss and mourn daily. Image

It seems the anti-trans group has used me to drum up money for their bigotry. Let's do something about this, I'd love my followers to dig deep and donate to @stonewalluk, where your money can actually go to helping LGBT people in need.

I don't really want to quote tweet this awful bigot any more than I want to quote tweet the next awful bigot, but there have been literally hundreds of racist, homophobic, biphobic and transphobic comments targeted at me because I said Trans Rights Matter. Again, I won't shut up.
I don't call myself Queer egg person. I am Queer. My mental or physical attraction to someone is not predicated on their gender or biological sex. Take that fucking Pride flag out of your bio before you @ some other LGBT person with one of your slurs.

You know, if I hadn't joined this website 11 years ago, suffered death threats from Al-Qaeda & ISIS operatives, been slandered as a terrorist and received torrents of abuse from the far right and the far left, yesterday would have broken me. I would never have tweeted again.
There is an atmosphere on Twitter where it is quite literally an unbearable experience to exist as a trans person. The dehumanisation and targeted abuse is extreme. The toxicity is so intense that I spent nearly 16 (YES SIXTEEN) hours blocking the abuse I received.
Some of these abusive accounts go as far as accusing me of being a rapist, a pedophile, or someone that wants to commit genocide against Lesbians. The discourse is actually fully insane, deranged and disgusting. The people driving this campaign are totally radicalised.

Daily transphobia, whipped up by prominent opinion columnists at The Times and other mainstream British newspapers, are directly responsible for this hatred and discrimination currently playing out.
Too many of my followers see stuff like this and shrug. A fewer amount giggle and agree. It's dehumanisation. It intends to characterise all Trans people as dangerous sexual deviants. The opinion editors know EXACTLY what they are whipping up with this too.
This is on them. Directly. If it was directly on Corbyn for the antisemitism of his crankiest supporters, it is also directly on the leading "gender critical" pundits that routinely push the idea that Trans women are dangerous and predatory.
