He told his brownshirts to fight. Rudy told them to have a trial by combat. The insurrectionists chanted "fight for Trump." The insurrectionists said they went there to stop the electoral count and murder the 2nd and 3rd in line of POTUS succession.
When Trump talked to the @GOP Minority Leader, @kevinomccarthy, McCarthy told Trump what was going on & that the VP was in danger. Trump said the mob must care more about the electoral count than he did & the mob must be Antifa.
After this, Trump attacked Pence on twitter, inflaming the murderous insurrectionists further. People who observed Trump noted that he was happy with what he was seeing.
