Also the 'for the children' creepy chant with Dottie makes a lot more sense once the twins are born. And I still think it was Billy's and not Wanda's magic running amok in episode 3, starting with the butterflies. Wanda never lifted a finger... #WandaVision
... and she is absolutely consistent across all the films and all the episodes when it comes to her hands and magic. as for who is controlling whom, every time Wanda and Vision question reality in the first three episodes someone or something distracts them. #WandaVision
Why would Wanda be trying to stop herself from talking to Vision about the weird helicopter and what happened with the radio and Dottie? She wouldn't. Someone else is controlling the Westview anomaly, even if they're using Wanda's magic to power it. #WandaVision
'I am handling it/let me handle it' is all about Wanda's awareness of what's going on but she and Vision started the first episode not knowing their history and not knowing how they got there. We're still missing the catalyst. #WandaVision
Pietro is definitely another distraction, and possibly the same force (Agnes?) that created the anomaly in the first place. I think Dotty's a red herring, to throw comics fans off track cos they're not doing a straight up adaptation of the 80s mini-series. #WandaVision
Everyone keeps expecting the storyline with mephisto because that is the classic storyline but I don't think the show is going there. while I think it's definitely about the twins somehow, but not same the way it was then. #WandaVision
The further we get in the story the more convinced I am the series is going to end with either Vision or the twins alive. It doesn't feel like tragedy porn, it doesn't feel like 'how much MORE trauma can we pour into Wanda Maximoff?' on top of all her other trauma. #WandaVision
if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. but my gut says we don't need to lose more people we care about for the story to continue to have weight. At some point you have to turn off the angst faucet. We're not 14 yr olds on Fanfiction.net. We can handle nuance. #WandaVision
And frankly, it would be nice to see the powers that be recognising that resurrecting Vision would do absolutely nothing to diminish his death or the sacrifices Wanda has made. Resurrecting Vision doesn't undo those choices. But you need HOPE to keep going forward. #WandaVision
It would be so important to me personally to see a powerful, complex woman on screen be given grace and hope instead of heaping tragedy after tragedy on her shoulders. Not just Wanda, Monica too. To do what's right cos it's the right thing to do. No tragic origin story required.
The entire superhero genre really needs to let Batman be Batman. Fridging loved ones to compel characters to action is shallow and easy and too long a shortcut standing in for real drama.
