In the 2020 General Election, there were about 38.3 million (38,271,447) population eligible for voting and 26 million voter population. The voter percentage all over the country was around 71 percent which was a 2% increase from the 2015 Election.

Although there were 87 participating political parties in the 2020 Election, only 19 parties have won. Amongst the winning parties, NLD has secured 920 parliamentary seats which were 33 seats more than the 2015 election.

As for the votes in the 2020 General Election, NLD has received around 55.9 million votes (55,978,735) for all three of the Parliament Houses. USDP came in second with 18 million votes (18,044,311). It is obvious to see the difference of 37.9 million between these two is massive.

Consequently, looking back to 2015, NLD has received around 40.3 million (40,352,333) votes for all three of the Parliament Houses. USDP, again, came in second, receiving 20.7 million votes (20,798,675). There was a tremendous difference of 19.5 million (19,553,658) between these

Thus, while comparing with the 2015 General Election, the vote difference in the 2020 Election is nothing to be suspicious and reflects the choice of Myanmar People.
