Stage 1: "God is Dead"—Superman/Christ sacrifices himself so we can live. And in Snyder's imagination, God is dead—and we killed Him! The Jewish-presenting Lex Luthor, possed by jealously and human-centric commitments, subjects Christ to withering critique and dastardly schemes.
Interestingly, Snyder depicts the Death of Jesus as also leading to the destruction of the Classical world, represented by Diana ("Wonder Woman") and Themyscira.
Stage 2: "No Protectors Here"—With Jesus gone, the world is ripe to be conquered by the "New Gods," Darkseid, in particular, whom Jack Kirby might have based on Adolf Hitler. In the chaos and void, fascism will rise to create order.
Stage 3: "I'm building a team"—The neoconservative "Bruce Wayne" puts together a squad of the West's mightiest heroes: proto-Jewish Hermes ("The Flash"), Diana ("Classical Christianity"), and Eurkel ("Cyborg") to hold back fascism.
Apparently, Bruce even enlists the murderous incels from 4chan ("The Joker"), who speak only in memes: "We live in a society."
Stage 4: "The New Age of Heroes"—The J League emerges as postmodern versions of the old gods. The ancient world transforms into feminism ("Wonder Woman"); Bruce, again, is an American neocon, constantly quoting Dick Cheney; and STEM genius "Victor Stone" presides over technology.
On left-wing YouTube and Twitter, Zack Snyder is constantly lambasted as a "fascist" filmmaker. The reality is that he is a profoundly Christian and anti-fascist filmmaker, whose coming masterpiece depicts the global battle against fascism.
The exception in Snyder's oeuvre is *300*, which is a genuinely fascist film—sadly culturally appropriated by neocons to inspire Americans to go to war against the enemies of Israel.
