It's nearly a cliche to observe that evil people also think they're the good guys. What makes them evil is being so defective in mind and deformed in spirit that they can't tell the difference between their emotional fixations and any kind of meaningful values.
Bigoted irritation at someone's existence is imagined to be an intolerable, deliberate injury caused by that person. Spite and sadism are mistaken for righteousness. You could call it satanic, but Satanists are far more clear-eyed about this kind of thing.
