the four types of yogis, the exercise, detachment, etc., which leads to such yOgam and the greatness of bhakthi yOgam towards himself [krishNa] are spoken.
bhagavAn SrI krishNa re-asserts that one who performs karma yOga, not holding on to the result of karma such as svarga etc, remains a gyAna yOga nishta as well as a karma yOga nishta.
bhagavAn SrI krishNa explains to arjuna that what the wise say as “gyAna”, know that it is part of karma yOga; one who has not given up the attachment for the prakruthi will not be considered to be engaged in karma yOga.

bhagavAn explains that for a mumukshu who engages in meditation of AthmA, karma yOga is explained as the means. For him who is established in such vision, such attainment itself is the reason for not engaging in karma yOga.

bhagavAn states that when the karma yOga practitioner becomes detached from the sense objects, becomes detached from the karmas and when he gives up all worldly desires, he is said to have realised the self in that state.

SrI krishNa explains that one should elevate oneself with the help of the mind detached from worldly pleasures; mind alone is one’s relative/friend (when detached from worldly pleasures) and enemy (when attached to them).

SrI krishNa states that for the person whose mind is not attached to worldly pleasures, such mind is his friend; for the person who has not conquered his mind, his mind itself will engage in being a hurdle for the well-being.

bhagavAn SrI krishNa says that in the mind of one who is having an unaffected mind in cold-heat, joy-sorrow and in honour-dishonour and who is having control over sensory organs, jIvAthmA alone is well placed.

bhagavAn explains that the karma yOgi who is having a mind firmly placed on the AthmA, who is equally disposed towards a block of soil, stone and gold, is said to be qualified for this practice in the form of Self-realization

bhagavAn SrI krishNa says that the one who is equally disposed towards well wishers, friends, enemies etc. is the best among those who practice yOga.
SrI krishNa says that the karma yOgi, every day, being alone in a secluded place, having control over the wandering mind, being desireless, without the thought of belongingness, will engage in meditating and seeing the self.

bhagavAn SrI krishNa describes the appropriate place for performing yOga and also the preparations involved.
bhagavAn SrI krishNa further states that the yOgi should have a tranquil mind, be fearless and celibate, placing his thoughts on bhagavAn, and be fully engaged in him.
bhagavAn SrI krishNa declares that the yOgi who focuses his mind with a disciplined mind always on bhagavAn, attains the peace of ultimate state of being freed from material body and being in bhagavAn.

bhagavAn SrI krishNa explains to arjuna, that the practise of yOga is not for the one who eats excessively or very little; or to him who is given to much sleep or who keeps much awake.
bhagavAn SrI krishNa states that the practise of yOga eliminates woes for the one who is careful in food and careful in exercise; who carefully employs himself in works, and who regulates sleep and waking.

Chapter 6, SlOkam 18
bhagavAn SrI krishNa reveals to arjuna the characteristics of the yOgi classified as yuktha.
swAmi dhoddAchAryar also referred to as sri srInivAsa mahAguru, and mahAchAriar, is a srIvaishnava achAryar who lived in this world in 16th/17th century.
swAmi vedAnta dhEsikar authored Satha dhUshanI [ஶத தூ3ஷணீ] – swAmi dhoddAchAryar wrote a commentary on it called chaNdamArutham [சண்டமாருதம்] and so this Acharya got the title chaNdamArutham swAmi Doddayacharyar. To this date his descendants are referred to with this title.
kAnchipuram garuda sEvai incident involving swAmi dhoddAchAryar is very famous. One time swamy could not go to kAnchipuram for garuda sEvai, due to his ill health. He was extremely saddened by this.

எப்படி காயத்ரி மந்த்ரம் ப்ரஹ்மோபதேசம் பெற்றவர்களால் தினமும் அனுஸந்திக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அதேபோல, ஒரு ஆசார்ய ஸம்பந்தம் பெற்று எம்பெருமானார் திருவடிகளில் ஆசையுடையவர்களுக்கு இது தினமும் அனுஸந்தானத்துக்கு விஷயமாகும்படி ஒவ்வொரு பாசுரத்திலும் ராமானுஜரின் திருநாமத்துடன் அருளிச்செய்யப்பட்டது
எம்பெருமானார் ஸ்ரீபாஷ்யம் முதலான க்ரந்தங்களை அருளிச்செய்வதன் மூலமும், பல ஆசார்யர்களைக் கொண்டு நம் ஸம்ப்ரதாய அர்த்தங்களை எல்லோரும் அறிந்து கொள்ளும்படிச் செய்தும், திவ்யதேசங்களில் சீர்திருத்தம் செய்தும் நம்முடைய ஸ்ரீவைஷ்ணவ ஸம்ப்ரதாயத்த்தை நன்றாக எடுத்துரைத்து வளர்த்தார்.
