I just got an ad for "Trump Passports" for "Trump Citizens" who want to get ready for "MAGA 2024"
definitely not the kind of rhetoric that could escalate to separatist violence
whoever is selling this, I don't think it's the official trump campaign. the address is listed as 1600 pennsylvania avenue and the website seems...off
here's an internal page from the passport. it is absolutely impossible to know if this is a joke or not
here's the page where you buy it. i just have absolutely no clue what's going on here. they even hide the name "TRUMP" in the product description in a way that feels simultaneously too dumb to be real and too dumb to be satire
quick googling does not reveal that Ben Ammer of GoGo is a real person.
i reversed image searched his picture, and confirmed that the photo they use for their "SVP" appears to be a stock photo
This text from the passport site's landing page makes me think this is an ironic grift, but it is impossible to tell. They're claiming the goal is to sell enough passports that Trump "will see his supporters have never given up"
But they also limit sales to 500.

If you are wondering why Texas's electrical grid is on the brink of collapse, it's because Texas is the only of the lower 48 states with its own power grid. The reasons for this boil down to "fuck the federal government."
In 2011, and on other emergency occasions, Texas has had to borrow power from Mexico, who are objectively better neighbors than us.
On the last big winter storm I was here for, much of Dallas lost power for 2 weeks. We had electric workers from like a dozen states come to help.
The message of all this is that Texas's toxic style of libertarianism is not real. "Rugged individualism" repeatedly gets us into trouble and we have to be bailed out by our neighbors.
Anyway, 100,000 people in DFW have to boil their water now because the treatment plant broke.
Goad and Emily stood against Nazis during Unite the Right in Charlottesville, 2017. Joe Biden used footage of them being assaulted in his campaign ads.
But no mainstream politician actually listened to them.
Also @danieleharper and his wonderful podcast I Don't Speak German. @idsgpod. No one put in more work following these people.
Conspiracy theory time: I think Tarrio may have purposefully gotten arrested with two illegal (in D.C.) rifle magazines.
He admitted to destroying property before flying in. He brought exactly two magazines, which is weird.
What if his plan is to challenge D.C. gun laws?
There is a decent chance he would win if such a case made it to the Supreme Court. And more to the point, a big publicized gun rights case would be an opportunity for Tarrio to crowdfund huge amounts of money AND gain more fame.
It is a smarter bet than doing another rally.
Even if SCOTUS never took the case, he would have a pretty decent chance of raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in short order from conservative gun owners spooked about Biden.
I just got back from the Red House eviction resistance occupation in North Portland. I'm not showing pictures of the interior, so here is a nearby business.
The barricades there are the best I've seen this year. Huge, thick, and secured together through a variety of mediums.
The barricades are an example of defense in depth. Most entrances have multiple layers of barricades. There are a variety of different options to dissuade vehicle traffic and police advances.
The quality of construction is quite impressive. It will be an unholy bitch to remove.
The whole occupation covers a couple of blocks. It looks roughly as large as the CHAZ.
One protester told me: "We started off just trying to occupy the area around the house. But that didn't work. So we made it bigger."
I have been working with a small group of Portland press to put together an audio documentary about the uprising this year. You can listen to episode 1 now!
I wanted to make a note of something here. Folks haven't really asked me about it, but I want to be clear.
It has been important to me, from the beginning, not to directly profit from what has happened this year. I still have not.
I'm a salaried employee at iHeart, which means my income would have been the same whether or not we did this particular show. I did not owe them an extra series this year. IF this does well enough that I am due a cut of ad revenue, I'll direct it elsewhere.
