Having failed in 3 pilot provinces of Camarines Sur, Iloilo and Negros Oriental, Marcos cannot seek 3rd cause cause of action of annulment in Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao and Basilan.

NOW: SCPIO chief Brian Keith Hosaka holds presscon confirming PET's unanimous junking of the election protest filed by defeated VP candidate Bongbong Marcos against VP Leni Robredo. All 15 members were present -- 7 fully concurred in dismissal, 8 concurred in results.

Hosaka declines to answer if the PET decision can still be appealed. He was also not given copy of the resolution so he could not disclose yet gist of the dispositive portion.

Hosaka also not given details about identity of 7 justices who fully concurred in dismissal and cannot disclose the identity of the ponente and member in charge of the election protest, citing PET rules.

Hosaka says deliberations of PET tribunal are highly confidential. Says this is the first time parties will be informed about the PET ruling.

Can Marcos still appeal? Former SC spox Ted Te says that while motion for reconsideration is possible, it will be "extremely difficult to reverse" saying the votes of some justices concurring only in the result means they had different reasons but same conclusion.

Marcos spox Vic Rodriguez says they will issue statement once facts have been established based on official document or pronouncement from PET.
