The person giving the invocation at the meeting just said that "the right and perfect thing always happens," which will be a surprise to anyone who has ever seen a commission meeting and to those opposed to the Reid-naming.
MGM Resorts rep now in front of commish. Remember, Reid literally saved the company during The Great Recession by calling and threatening banks.

@JustinJonesNV @mjoneslv So we have now had a majority of the commission say the airport should be renamed. It's done except for the vote. Only question is if it is unanimous.
Another great NV story: Commish Jim Gibson, speaking now and waffling, ran against Dina Titus for gov in '06 in Dem primary. Reid quietly supported Gibson, thinking he was stronger general candidate. Titus crushed him. Not sure she ever forgave Reid, but she is supporting this.
"I have countless friends and family" opposed to name change, Gibson said, fretting that it "will fuel the flames of divisiveness in this community."
