Nnamdi Azikiwe University teaching Hospital, Nnewi(NAUTH).

A teaching hospital sitting on a temporary site which it has grown far bigger than.

The history of NAUTH, Nnewi.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University teaching Hospital Nnewi was created in the year 1991 after Image
Nnewi community people handed over their self built General hospital(Mbụli) to federal government for the purpose of serving as the temporary teaching hospital for the newly created Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Image
As time went on, more facilities were built both by individuals and the government. The hospital continued serving its purpose without pressure or discomfort until it got to a time the traffic started increasing and the need to relocate to the permanent site became obvious ImageImageImage
As the federal government @Fmohnigeria remains nonchalant about completing the facilities at the permanent site which is located as Akammili, Umudim Nnewi, the temporary site keeps being too congested, deteriorated, inconducive and over-capacitated. ImageImage
A new building being squeezed into the already congested compound was sited at the front of the Accident and Emergency building. @Fmohnigeria this is not what we asked for.We want the teaching hospital in Nnewi to be moved to the permanent site and the facilities both roads built ImageImage
