West Bengal has given us some very great, noble personalities like Rabindranath Tagore ji, Subhash Chandra Bose ji and Swami Vivekananda ji, who have made India proud on the global stage: @PiyushGoyal

Over years, West Bengal has been left in the race of development & progress, as is evident from so many projects that we desire to do in West Bengal, but which are stuck at different levels in the various parts of the state: @PiyushGoyal

As PM @narendramodi ji said, "Our efforts will be directed towards making the state of West Bengal a premier state in trading & business activity in the country": @PiyushGoyal

Railways can play an important role in development of West Bengal by expanding passenger connectivity, by expanding connectivity of freight trains, ensuring availability of raw materials & moving the products from West Bengal to all parts of the country: @PiyushGoyal

There are projects in West Bengal, that were approved many years ago, but still haven't seen the light of day due to various reasons, many of which can be resolved if the State Govt would cooperate with the Indian Railways: @PiyushGoyal

There is a project which was started in 1974 in the Railways, but which is still stuck because we do not get the land.

Work is stuck which we are unable to complete and provide benefits to the people: @PiyushGoyal

हमारी इच्छा है कि अगले 3 वर्षों में पूरे प.बंगाल में रेलवे ट्रैक्स का शत प्रतिशत विद्युतीकरण हो जाये।

दिसंबर 2023 तक प.बंगाल की हर रेलवे लाइन इलेक्ट्रिफाई हो जायेगी, जिससे प्रदूषण भी कम होगा, गति बढेगी, और यात्रियों को सुविधा मिलेगी : @PiyushGoyal

गत 6 वर्षों में हमने ₹19,811 करोड़ रुपये प.बंगाल में इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर को सुधारने के लिये निवेश किया है।

यात्री सुविधाओं में ₹710 करोड़ खर्च हुआ है, और 1040 किमी का ट्रैक इलेक्ट्रिफिकेशन हुआ है : @PiyushGoyal

गत 6 वर्षों में नई रेलवे लाइन लगाने का जो काम हुआ है, वो उसके पहले के 6 वर्षों से दोगुना है।

मोदी जी की सरकार आने से पहले 9 किमी औसतन प्रतिवर्ष नई लाइन का काम होता था, वह बढकर 19 किमी नई लाइन प्रतिवर्ष लगाने में हम सफल हुए हैं : @PiyushGoyal

गेज कन्वर्जन का काम पहले सिर्फ 8 किमी प्रतिवर्ष औसतन होता था, वो 2014 के बाद 16 किमी प्रतिवर्ष करने में हम सफल हुए।

लाइनों का दोहरीकरण पहले औसतन 50 किमी प्रतिवर्ष था, अब वह 91 किमी प्रतिवर्ष करने में हम सफल हुए हैं : @PiyushGoyal

ट्रेनों के विद्युतीकरण से प्रदूषण कम होगा, तथा मालगाड़ी तेज गति से अपने गंतव्य तक पहुंच सकेंगी।

RoB सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से बहुत जरूरी हैं, और लेवल क्रासिंग बंद कर जब RoB बनता है, तो ट्रेन की गति भी बढती है, और सुरक्षा भी बढती है : @PiyushGoyal

मार्च 2019 के बाद भारतीय रेल में किसी भी यात्री की दुर्घटना में मृत्यु नही हुई, यह एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है जो हमने रेलवे कर्मचारियों की कड़ी मेहनत से हासिल की है : @PiyushGoyal
