Turner says power will not be fully restored for another couple days. And he asks people to stay off the roads at night and not be "fooled" by conditions during the day, when it's warmer.
There are currently 600 people staying at the city-operated shelter/warming center at @GRBCC, which Turner just toured before the presser. It's full at the moment.
If you get power, you should take advantage & boil water while you still can, says @HouPublicWorks director Carol Haddock. She says the boiled water will stay drinkable.

If you don't have power, use bottled water, even for brushing your teeth or washing your face, Haddock says.
Haddock says the city expects to have normal-ish water pressure tomorrow, at which point Houston can "start the path out of the boil water notice." No specific indication of timing yet
.@HoustonFire has responded to 3,300 calls for service during the storm, 75% of which have been emergency medical service calls, @FireChiefofHFD says.

HFD has also responded to 56 structure fires over the last two days, significantly more than usual.
Two Houstonians have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, Chief Peña says.

There has been just one traffic death during the storm, according to @ArtAcevedo. He warns conditions will be rough again tonight.
Houston public health authority David Persse says many warming centers around the city have electricity that residents w/electric-power medical equipment can use. He reminds people to bring their medication to the warming centers, since there won't be any extra supplies.
Persse said there have been "more carbon monoxide poisonings here than I can remember at any point in my career." He says it's easy to miss the early signs, such as headaches. The next symptoms are confusion and an "altered mental status," Persse says.
Turner says he is still asking residents not to drip their faucets in order to help citywide water pressure. He notes that his own pipes burst after the power came back on at his home.

Though most Houston residents have had their power restored, @SylvesterTurner says there may be some additional power outages today, as ERCOT may tell CenterPoint (@CNPalerts) to shed power.
At news conference from @HoustonOEM HQ, Turner says Houston's water pressure has improved and @HouPublicWorks has brought generators back online, but "we still have a way to go." He says citywide water pressure will likely stabilize around 35 PSI sometime tomorrow.
No word yet on what exactly this means for residents' access to running water. However, Turner says the city will remain under a boil water notice until Sunday or Monday, since state law requires cities to continue testing water samples for 24 hours before lifting the notice.

Police reform roundtable involving Cornyn, Cruz, Turner and a bunch of others getting underway just now at City Hall #txlege
Cornyn says there's about "70 percent" overlap between the House and Senate police reform bills, and everyone seems to want immediate action. (Major differences involve qualified immunity, chokeholds and no-knock warrants)
Acevedo sitting right by Cruz and Cornyn, who he’s had harsh words for in the past re: gun laws
