SECURITY: CP HAKEEM ODUMOSU MEETS NIGERIA POLICE EMINENT PERSONS FORUM LAGOS STATE
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, on Thursday, 18th February, 2021, played host to the leadership
of the Nigeria Police Force Eminent Persons Forum, Lagos State at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
The police boss, who adopts the community policing strategies to achieve effective policing of the state, has concluded plans to incorporate every stakeholder into the security
system of Lagos State, including the Nigeria Police Eminent Persons Forum.
The Nigeria Police Force Eminent Persons Forum was launched across the country in 2016 to assist the police in achieving its statutory goals.
The Commissioner of Police admonished them to key into
the various policing agendas of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni, and embrace policing as a civic responsibility from all angles. He further charged the Forum to assist the police in the areas of information sharing, robust intelligence gathering
trainings and retraining and every legitimate move that can boost modern policing system in Lagos State.
In the same vein, the Commissioner of Police encouraged them to support the police on the due enforcement of laws and COVID-19 protocols in the state. He reminded them that
the COVID-19 pandemic is a global reality and we must put all hands on deck to halt its spread in Lagos State. CP Hakeem Odumosu affirmed the readiness of the command to go after all traffic offenders who are fond of violating the Lagos State Traffic Regulations.
The Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Olalekan Koleoso, appreciated and commended the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, for his commitment to duty and ability to Police Lagos State as expected; noting that the Forum will not be left out in the ongoing repositioning of the
police and having effective policing of the state and Nigeria at large.
The Chairman also assured the Command of the forum's zeal and readiness to support the police on the due enforcement of all laws, including COVID-19 protocols, to halt the spread of the pandemic in the state

LAGOS POLICE ARREST EJIGBO BOYS FOR GANG RAPING TEENAGER
The Operstives of the Lagos State Police Command attached to Ejigbo Division on 16th February, 2021, at about 10pm arrested 4 suspects that gand raped
one teenager in Ejigbo.
The mother of the victim, One Tawa Abbey, of No 200, Mafo Bus Stop, Idimu Road, Ejigbo, reported the incident to the police that her daughter (name withheld) went to buy food at Lafenwa Street,Ejigbo when a group of boys attacked the victim with
dangerous weapon, threatened to kill her and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her in a room at No 33,Alhaji Obe Street Ejigbo.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has condemned
the act of impersonation by some individuals who parade themselves as security operatives in the state and ordered the Divisional Police Officers and detectives to be on the lookout for the impersonators.
The Commissioner of Police refers to some cases where dismissed officers
and civilians will be parading themselves as servicing members or personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the military and security agencies, including the Lagos State owned agencies, to perpetrate illegal acts in the state.

AGAIN, LAGOS POLICE ARREST 8 SUSPECTED TRAFFIC ROBBERS IN KETU, RECOVER HARD DRUGS, WEAPONS.
Pursuant to its commitment to further reduce crime and criminality in the State, the Lagos Police Command,
between Thursday night and early hours of Friday 12th February 2021, arrested eight (8) suspected traffic robbers in Ketu Area of Lagos State.
Five of the suspects were arrested on Thursday 11th February, 2021, at about 1030pm, by a team of RRS operatives led by the Commander,

The Police operatives attached to Bariga Division of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday, 13th February, 2021, arrested four (4) members
of Oodua People's Congress (OPC) for beating and stabbing one Tochukwu Chidi, m, 35, of No 76 Arobadede Street,Bariga, to death after an argument with them at Temple Street, Bariga, Lagos.
The suspects attacked the deceased and inflicted injuries on him. He was rushed to the
General Hospital, Bariga for treatment before he was confirmed dead.
The suspects are Sunday Onilede, m, 35, Azan Razak, m, 35, Abdullahi Ibrahim, m, 29, and Fatai Taiwo, m, 40,.
