1/ At 107, there’s nothing I can’t do! I wake up at 3 AM, go to my farm before all my workers and after a whole day of ploughing and harvesting, I cycle down to the market to sell my produce!
2/ There were no formal schools when I was growing up; I’m self-taught. I was 14 when I got married and inherited a piece of Appa’s land after.
3/ In those days, married women were confined to four walls, but I didn’t want to sit idle. So, at 16, I started my first venture–I set up an idli-vada shop. This was the 1950’s–I’d make about 20 Rs a month!
@RajithRajagopal@mathewi May I add @mathewi you got it all wrong. Let me tell how 1/ GoI has not ordered to take action against all journos only those who distribute fake news. Eg. The farmer for whom u show so much concern was NOT killed by fire shots. It was an accident
@RajithRajagopal@mathewi 2/ Your friend @sardesairajdeep tweeted this which is completely farce and he was taken off air and maybe off the channel as well. This is not something new. He has a record for running fake news.
1/ Why do Indian Husbands remain faithful disciples of their wives ?.
Answer By Dr NN Iyer, MD
I will tell you my personal story as to why I remain faithful to my wife. It is just for survival.
Her multitasking always amazed me, especially when it came to chemistry
2/ It was 8 in the morning.
In the kitchen, my wife was checking the viscosity of the sambar, the solubility of chutney and the permeability of coffee, all at the same time.
3/ The huge number of multisized, multilabel bottles and cans on the shelf in front of her, looked like a 17th century alchemist lab with containers of different shapes and sizes labeled in Hebrew and Arabic.
1. There is a fire of anger in my eyes
Which has turned my eyes into red.
Like a spark of fire explodes and spread every where
My anger spill on the face of those
Who come to my kitchen.
2. Whoever comes in contact with me
They are roasted as like by live wire
Words come out of my mouth
Like arrows to pierce.
3. Godesses Kamakshi
When I come into Thine Temple
And Aarati is shown
The beauty of your Smile
Is refelected throughout your creation.
The eyes radiate with grace and blessings.
All my anger vanish into air.
Here is a very good explanation about Neivedyam to God.
Will God come and eat our offerings?
Many of us could not get proper explanation from our elders.
An attempt is made here.
Its a WA forward, thought I would share. 1/n
A Guru-Shishya conversation:
The sishya who doesn't believe in God, asked his Guru thus:
"Does God accept our 'neivedhyam' (offerings)?
If God eats away the 'prasadham' then from where can we distribute it to others? 2/n
Does God really consume the 'prasadham',Guruji?"
The Guru did not say anything. Instead, asked the student to prepare for classes. That day, the Guru was teaching his class about the 'upanishads'.He taught them the 'mantra' "poornamadham, poornamidham, poornasya poornaadaaya" 3/n
Following is a thread on SandhyA Vandanam and why it is done. If there are any errors, please pardon me and if there is anything that is missing please add in the replies. Thank you all. 1/n
Hinduism is not just a religion; it is a way of life and code of behavior. There is so much synergy between Science and Spirituality in many Vedic traditions. Both Science& Spirituality seek the truth in their own unique ways.Per Science,Sun is a star that powers life on earth 2/n
Per Vedas,Sun is ‘Pratyaksha Devata’,the visible God.Just as how solar energy is harvested to charge batteries, during twilight(there is a significant shift in Sun’s energy &that shifting)energy is leveraged to recharge the body &mind through special physical&mental routines. 3/n
