This coming week @fairfightaction and our allies are going to push back HARD on the Georgia GOP's voter suppression bonanza they launched to satisfy the dangerous conspiracy nuts in their own party, rather than doing the honest work of just learning how to run modern campaigns

(and run better candidates). Each day this week, we'll hold hearings on these bills and shine truth and light on this rushed, secretive process. We will launch media and more to engage the public on what's at stake if these suppression bills pass.

These bills are targeted with precision at Black and brown voters, but they are a broadside attack on voting that will hurt all with longer lines, mass confusion, identity theft, less options and ease of voting for rural, military and senior voters, a ban on Sunday voting

aimed at curtailing access for Black Georgians "souls to the polls" efforts of those who want to vote with their church after Sunday services, as well as Jewish voters who observe the Saturday Sabbath so want a Sunday option.

If the Georgia GOP wants to make this session IN THE MIDDLE OF A DEADLY PANDEMIC about their political racial animus voter suppression agenda, rather than about addressing the needs of Georgia's children who have had their education robbed from them so that bars can be open,

or about the people who have had their loved ones stolen from them by this disease, or about the business owners whose prospects have collapsed due to a failed government response by the Trump-Kemp administrations, then fine, that's their choice, they control state government.

But we are not taking this fight sitting down. Follow @fairfightaction for all the ways to fight back in Georgia and stay tuned this week. Those outside of Georgia should get involved in the federal efforts to pass HR 1 and HR 4

and engage locally in fights in your state- Arizona, Texas, Iowa, Florida and so many state GOP leaders have no vision beyond voter suppression despite the challenges around all of us in this pandemic and climate crisis.

The Republican stranglehold on state gov has failed Americans in these twin crises, so they spend their time make voting harder b/c they fed their base a voter fraud lie and b/c Dems won a federal trifecta against the voter suppression odds- but we will keep fighting and winning.
