Morrison's manhandling of an elderly woman while trying desperately to distract us all from his mishandling of sexual assault claims demonstrates that he has no clue. He is by nature both a bully & sexist. Here are some examples 1/9 #ScottyFromGilead

In Nov 2018 he made the smutty & lewd statement 'I’ve had plenty of mates who’ve asked me if they can be my special envoy to sort the issue out with Pamela Anderson'. He was responding to her appearance on 60 Minutes urging him to bring Julian Assange home 2/9 #ScottyFromGilead

In Mar 2019, at an address to mark International Women's Day, he said that the Liberal party wanted women to rise but did not “want to see women rise only on the basis of others doing worse”. 3/9 #ScottyFromGilead

In Jan 2020 he insisted on grabbing the hand of a woman at Cobargo to shake it even though she'd clearly refused when she said 'I'll only shake your hand if you give more funding to the RFS". He then turned his back & walked away while she was still speaking 4/9 #ScottyFromGilead

In Oct 2020, after Georgie Dent wrote an article pointing out our biggest spending budget ever had allocated about 1/3rd of 1% of its funds for women's economic security, the PMs office said that 'no one credible' was making such a complaint. 5/9 #CredibleWomen #ScottyFromGilead

In Nov 2020 he mansplained a member of his own party, Anne Ruston, interrupting her when she was only 8 words into her answer to a question about the culture for women in Parliament 6/9 #ScottyFromGilead

The crowning achievement has been his ongoing bungling of the current sexual assault scandal where he has, among other things, suggested that women are only of value in the context of their being someone's daughter, mother etc 7/9 #ScottyFromGilead

This sexism is also on full display in govt policy ranging from failure to sign onto the Mar 2019 UN International Women's Day statement calling for better sexual health education & access to abortions, to legislation this week to merge the Family Court. 8/9 #ScottyFromGilead

Morrison's behaviour this week was not a one off. Rather, it demonstrated who he is. He does not have any regard at all for 50% of the population & he does not deserve to be our Prime Minister. 9/9 #ScottyFromGilead

3 more others have reminded me of: suggesting more money for a hwy to help women giving birth on their way to hospital, naming chickens after the wives of former PMs, & insisting on hugging Jacinda Ardern when she clearly indicated she wanted to shake his hand #ScottyFromGilead
