1. From euro coin to sats with my LightningATM (thanks @21isenough) and from sats to digital euro thanks to @lastbitpay and LNURL withdraw maxWithdrawable.
2. Basically this means I converted euro coin into digital euro and I was able to spend them instantly with a rechargeble Mastercard card. Then, with Lasbit I was also able to pay a LN invoice, so back from euro to sats.
3. Imagine a situation where a merchant has his in-store LightningATM (and earn a commission for the service), accepts bitcoins via @BtcpayServer and offers a discount to customers who pay in satoshi...
4. A nocoiner customer could decide to convert instantly his euros (banknotes or coins) into digital euros and spend them simply by scanning the merchant's Lightning invoice. He could also deposit digital euros via his debit or credit card in an apps like the Lastbit one.
5. So, from his point of view, he holded euro (coins, banknotes, cards) and spent euro but he got the discount because he actually paid with Bitcoin.
All without even realizing that he was using Bitcoin!
6. This could be a way to bring Bitcoin to the mass, to help merchants to get sats, to help LN routing nodes to have more transactions to route and fees to earn and to make the user think: "And what if I keep sats instead of euro?"
7. For the bitcoiner that need to spend sats, this could be helpful as well, because he can keep the funds on his non-custodial LN wallet and send to Lastbit or similar apps the funds he need to spend, while waiting his turn at the checkout. No useless onchain TXs. No shitcoins.
