Very soon you’re going to have a Republican politician with less guile than even 45, Boebert, or Marjorie Taylor Greene. He or she will say they openly hate blacks/Latinos and maybe even use epithets, and they will be repeat guests in Meet the Press, This Week, etc
“So really Chuck, they are what I would call the mud races and they should all be purged”
“Thank you Senator, always interesting having you on.”

In ten years you’re still going to have liberals believing something is going to happen to Trump on the legal front “soon.”
Every time I post on this people are like “so you think he didn’t do anything wrong?” And it’s like... no, he’s obviously guilty as sin but we have a limited amount of time to devote to things and wishcasting about some unlikely fantasy scenario detracts from real things.
Marco and the others gave away billions in tax cuts to the mega rich but refuse to help out ordinary people with the equivalent of pennies.
A lot of people will still buy this Republican fiction that parents and the disabled aren’t doing “work,” but I feel like millions after having gone through the mortgage crisis and now COVID are understanding how full of it Team Marco is.
my only real context for the woody allen issue is one of my earlier political memories is slimy newt gingrich using the story as a club to hit liberals with chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-19…
that was the first time i learned about how in politics you can use current events as a way to slipstream in an attack. i went on for the next nearly 30 yrs to see republicans use it over and over and dems... not.
this shit isn't new and democrats really never bother with it. they just are shocked by it over and over again.
me, in the senate: judge garland, do you believe that spider-man has the statutory authority to legally do everything a spider can?
(this might be why im not a senator)
judge garland, i know you are aware of the x gene. if you are confirmed, what will you do to address our mutant problem? i am on the bipartisan committee to authorize and fund the sentinel project.
judge garland will you commit to us today that you will reign in this rampant vigilantism we're seeing, particularly in gotham city?
they really were like "not only did we eff you over and jack up the electricity bill, turn out the lights during freezing temps, but now we want you to love us cause we're *letting* you pay the bill in installments"
im generally speaking a capitalism guy but i see a note like that and im all:
since yesterday my mentions have been a complete mess of firearms safety tweets. i dont understand how come we dont have a cultural thing where we make fun of gun nerds. as a computer/comic book nerd, it sounds exactly the same to me.
while they endlessly prattle on about trigger locks and magazines, here i am praising myself for my recent revolutionary decision to file my comics by storyline and not by issue number.
its a big deal.
"why are these issues of flash and aquaman squished between copies of the justice league?"
"THEYRE PART OF THE ENDLESS WINTER STORYLINE, SORTED SEQUENTIALLY IT MAKES THE MOST COHESIVE SENSE, LET ME LIVE MY LIFE"
