This is literally like deja vu all over again, a complete repeat of what happened in 2014.…
So many illegal aliens were coming across the border that ICE was running out of places to house them. That was when DHS flew hundreds of them to CA and bussed them to Murrieta. The small town stood up and turned the buses away.
When agents have to take these people to other facilities, especially those that are further north from the border, this isn't just terrible immigration policy, it's inhumane. Most of the more northern facilities are used for holding drug traffickers.
The big reason this is an issue: hygiene. A facility like Murrieta is used to hold offenders for a short period of time. There's a few metal benches and a toilet. There are no showers. There are no beds. There's issues of disease even in non-COVID times. This makes it worse.
If Democrats want to be pissed off about pictures of kids in cages from 2014, I hope they're pissed off about this too. Because it's terrible policy. Not to mention catch and release means even MORE people will flock to the US while we're in the middle of a pandemic.
This is no longer just an issue in border towns and border states. It can and WILL move further north.

Currently going through the House Democrats' COVID relief bill. I will highlight some of the liberal wishlist items that I find.
First up: increasing the federal minimum wage to $15/hour. It would go up increasing over a five-year period. Image
Funding for "family planning" which they tie into the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 300). When you pull up PHSA you will see abortion mentioned. But 300a-6 is Hyde. This could be an attempt to fund the entire "family planning section" and reverse Hyde later. ImageImage

Some highlights of garbage in the COVID relief bill.

Invasive Species assessment, mitigation and reductions. Price tag: $130,000,000 (pp 1594)
Creating a US-India Gandhi-King Development Foundation with an annual budget of $30,000,000+
Apparently Congress is worried about "water resources on the Tibetan Plateau." No price tag is associated with this, from what I can see.

Dear mainstream media,
You wonder why the American people don't trust you? It's because you do the DUMBEST things. Need an example? Let me help.
You got polling wrong in '16, said you'd change this time around, look what's happening.
AZ was called and it's close. MI was called and SOS shows Trump (and James winning).

My aunt in Wisconsin just now told me her vote still hasn’t been counted. 👀
Apparently my uncle’s hasn’t been counted either. Time to check on other family members to see where their ballots are at.
Uncle number two hasn’t been counted either.

What I find interesting is the fact that there’s contradictory information about sharpies. Maricopa and Pinal both say sharpies count.

Driving through San Bernardino. There were riots here Monday night. Seeing quite a few boarded up buildings.
One business has a sign that says “small business supporting BLM” to discourage looters.
I just spoke to a black employee at the Burger King who was almost in tears. She said people rushed the lobby when the riots happened. Now people are scared to come in because they see it boarded up.
