After Narendra Modi, took charge in 2014, is that BJP govt removed all the ills out of that Scheme, and utilized it effectively, which the data proves. Now Modi govt, in 2015-16, BE vs Actuals- 34,000 cr Budgeted is 37,000 cr in actual utilization;
In 2016-17, allocated BE was Rs.38,500 crore, Rs.48,214 crore were utilized. .
In 2017-18, BE was Rs.48,000 crore and utilization was Rs.55,000 crore.
In 2018-19, allocated BE was Rs.55,000 crore and funds utilized were Rs.61,815 crore

In 2019-20, Rs. 60,000 crores becomes Rs. 71,686 crores in actual utilization. In 2020-21, which is the year of the Pandemic, Rs. 61,500 crore is the amount that this govt gave, prior to the Covid coming in February, 2020 Budget; (1,500 more than the BE of the previous year).
But because during the Covid period this govt had to come in with greater help, went on giving, through the Supplementary Demands and so on, Rs. 1,11,500 crore and, as of now, the actual utilization is Rs.90,469 crores, the HIGHEST EVER !
Now coming to this year's provision, Rs. 61,500 crores was February, 2020, just prior to Covid. Now, Rs. 73,000 crores is given in this BE, which is higher than the BE last year, having in-between provided during the pandemic for MGNREGA.
MGNREGA has greater provisions in actual numbers during Modi govt time and effectively using it. Ownership alone doesn't gum in, but come, talk the details, talk the facts.
Delivery and performance in terms of the last mile connectivity is where this govt have distinctly shown even on some instruments which previous govt have created.
So while INC govt take the credit for MGNREGA, INC should equally take the credit for having mismanaged MGNREGA, take the credit for C&AG paragraphs on MGNREGA, take the credit for having given MGNREGA to ghost workers, take the credit for MGNREGA going to non-existing workers.
