I am f'n livid.

Just told our 9yo googled PORN today on his school's virtual laptop 😡

We would never, ever allow our kid un-supervised access to the internet like this.

HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?

The unions and administrators who have done this to us are personally responsible.
The kid loves the show Teen Titans GO! … and this is what he searched for on his school computer: Image
The fact that he CAN look this up, on his own at 9yo… is infuriating.

We are not prudes. We have had 'the talk' with him, and we did it early. We have been very open, and calm about sex, birds, bees, etc.
These sites have terrible, horrible "parental" filters. So much makes it through the filters.

These machines are IMPOSSIBLE to secure for this kind of thing.

Any parent that's dealt w/ YouTube or Google knows that their 'restricted modes' not worth shit.
So, because we have to WORK all damn day to try to keep our HOME… and we can't also home school our kids we have to PAY a lot of money for a virtual classroom. Which is just a full off-site classroom, without teachers, and with laptops.

It's an absolutely insane situation.
ALL THE KIDS are doing it, too!

The older kids teach the younger kids how to "hack" the system.

And, boy, are they good at hacking the system. In fact, they're proud of it. They call themselves "hackers".
They know where every minecraft game, slither, among us, etc, etc, are on the internet.

The teachers block one site, they immediately find another.

It's like whack a mole, but with games, videos, and ticktocks.

And it DOESN'T WORK!!!
This 'HACKING' started immediately in the Fall, right after they gave these KIDS their own damn laptops.

We immediately brought it up to the teachers, but they couldn't do much.

We escalated to the principal and the board, and we were told it was OUR responsibility to police.
As parents would NEVER just give our 9yo and 7yo their own friggin laptops, under normal circumstances.

Yes, there are kids that young out there with their own devices… but that's not how we roll.

Yet we are FORCED to have our kids be taught this way. We have no say.
A few months ago, on their 'in person' day, we sent him in WITHOUT their laptops, and told them to use good 'ol paper, pencils and books.

You know what happened?

They WOULDN'T LET THEM USE PAPER, PENCILS AND BOOKS!

Because… that's right… science!
And, surprise! They had extra laptops there, so they just put our kids back on the screens.

Screens for in-person learning.

They sit IN the classroom… and watch the teacher on the f'n computer.

Yup. It's not a joke.
And now my young kids are being exposed to porn.

"Safety!" they say.

But they don't care about our kids, or the consequences.

These idiotic, cowardly bureaucrats, tyrannical politicians, and corrupt unions have turned our kids into pawns.

They just want our money.

1/ 👇 THIS right here is the perfect example of how our local bureaucracies completely failed our kids, and our communities last Spring.

It’s all right here in one image: panic, ‘safety-ism’, politics, tiny tyranny, elitism, and pig-headedness. Image
2/ This was done by feckless local bureaucrats, with the ‘best’ of intentions, of course.

The local 'leaders' around the US who did THIS to our kids are absolutely responsible for much of this long term catastrophic damage we’ve done to our kids, and our society.
3/ Never forget that. Never let them live it down. …or else, how will we learn from this? How else will we make sure it never happens again?
