2) Tom Petty said the waiting was the hardest part. He should have tried waiting on Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough to decide whether an increase in the minimum wage to $15 an hour qualifies under budget reconciliation rules to be included in the next COVID bill
3) Fox has checked in with numerous sources this afternoon. No one knows when we will know what the ruling is by MacDonough. Everyone is holding their breath.
4) The “announcement” of whether the minimum wage increase is in or out is unceremonial. We will likely just hear something from sources – maybe tonight or tomorrow – as to whether the provisions are in or out.
5) There is no news release – certainly not from MacDonough’s office - except perhaps by interested parties on both sides of the issue.
6) A military honor guard doesn’t goosestep onto the Capitol plaza. A bugler doesn’t blow “Call to the Post.” A town crier doesn’t unfurl a scroll on the Senate steps and declare “Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye!” to announce the edict. White smoke does not emanate from the Dome

The only thing we DO know is that the minimum wage provision WILL be in the House bill when it considers the measure on Friday. The question is whether the Senate strips it from the legislation when it comes across the building.
