I came to Mumbai in 1958, studied till 10th here. In 1986, I learnt rickshaw driving & have been living in it for 23 years. After my 2 sons passed away, I & my wife decided to educate our grandchildren. We work for them: 74-year-old autorickshaw driver Deshraj Jyot Singh

My younger son's wife left her children after he died of suicide. I took their responsibility. They study in my village in Himachal Pradesh. I sold off my 'Jhopra' worth 1 lakh so that my grandchildren can study as much as they want: Deshraj Jyot Singh

I have 2 grand sons and 1 grand daughter who live with my wife. I have told them that education is important, they also want to prove themselves. I want my granddaughter to become a teacher. I work here & my wife works in village: Deshraj Jyot Singh
